2014 Top Housing Markets in the US

A new survey result from Fiserv and Moody’s Economy.com, conducted in 384 places in the US showed the newest list of top housing markets in the country this 2014.

According to Fiserv and Moody, they based such factors from the demographic trends to unemployment rates and construction costs, income growth, as well as foreclosure rates. The survey’s top housing market overall was in Bremerton-Silverdale Metro, Washington. The survey showed that the housing price of Washington was expected to improve by 44.7% from 2010 to 2014.

With a 4-year forecast in price increase (2010-2014), below is a quick and comprehensive top 10 list of states that the survey has revealed:

1.       Washington – Projected home price increase in 4 years was 44.7%

2.       Oregon - Projected home price increase in 4 years was 33.6%

3.       Michigan - Projected home price increase in 4 years was 33.1%

4.       California - Projected home price increase in 4 years was 31.7%

5.       Nevada - Projected home price increase in 4 years was 31.6%

6.       Florida - Projected home price increase in 4 years was 26.9%

7.       Arizona – Projected home price increase in 4 years was 26%

8.       New Mexico – Projected home price increase in 4 years was 25.8%

9.       Wyoming – Projected home price increase in 4 years was 23.7%

10.   Alaska - Projected home price increase in 4 years was 20%
